报告摘要：In this talk, we will give a brief introduction on the optimal transport problem and discuss its applications in geometry, cosmology, and image recognition. We will also present some recent results on the free boundary problem in optimal transport. This work is part of a series of collaborations with Gregory Loeper, Shibing Chen and Xu-Jia Wang.
报告人简介：刘佳堃教授， 2010年博士毕业于澳大利亚国立大学，师从汪徐家院士。2010年－2013年，普林斯顿大学数学系博士后；现就职于澳大利亚悉尼大学。主要从事偏微分方程理论方面的研究，是当今国际上著名的青年数学家。目前，在Ann.of Math., Adv.Math.,Trans.Amer.Math.Soc.等国际顶级刊物上发表学术论文40余篇。
